At this stage, the project has the format of scientific research (R&D) "Formation of the appearance of the domestic shipbuilding computer-aided design system", the code "CAD-ship".

The contract of the United Shipbuilding Corporation with the St. Petersburg State Maritime Technical University for conducting these research was concluded on December 30, 2021.

The choice of contractor was not competitive. The university has become the corporation's so-called only possible supplier. The amount of the contract was 37 million rubles. Its execution is scheduled for a period until September 30, 2022.
Monitoring of the public procurement website shows that SPbGMTU does not plan to carry out the full front of work independently within the framework of research. In particular, on March 2, 2022, the university published notices on purchases from sole suppliers of works on the implementation of five components of research.
